The last day of our trip to Alaska and the Pacific Northwest was spent at Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island northwest of Seattle. We only had one day to explore this treasure of a state park, wish we had more time to see it all. Read on to learn more about our day.
We didn't arrive until noon because we came from Port Angeles which is approximately two and one-half hours away by road and ferry. After grabbing a bite to eat in Oak Harbor, we headed out to Deception Pass State Park. The cost to visit was $10 per day or $30 per year.
We spent some time exploring the beach then set out on our hike. We hiked the Goose Rock trail from the beach. We also walked across the Deception Pass bridge, talk about making your knees weak!
